On June 28, 1969, in New York City's Greenwich Village, the Stonewall Riots sparked what is credited to be the modern LGBTQ rights movement. The year after the uprising, New York City saw its first Gay Pride parade—an event that has blossomed into Pride Parades all over the world. To celebrate this on-going history of activism and resiliency, the LGBT Resource Center, in partnership with the Office of Diversity and Outreach, Alumni Relations, UCSF Library, Gladstone Institutes, University Relations, Ward 86, Alliance Health Project, and more, invite all of our community members and allies to attend a series of events planned throughout the month of June and ending with our annual walk in the San Francisco Pride Parade!
